The provincial spring agricultural production conference was held in Ningjin on February 21st . Provincial leaders and other agricultural sectors’ leaders and experts attended the conference.

In the grain industry demonstration base, Professor LI Hui, the wheat expert from Institute of Cereal and Oil Crops, introduced the wheat seedling situation and the main technical measures to promote growing, especially the measure of covering the wheat field in the soil. Although the growth situation of wheat seedling this year is generally poor, it is believe that through the special action of “utilize the science and technology to strengthen the seedling”, the wheat harvest can be achieved in the province. Professor JIA Xiuling, the cultivation expert from the institute, introduced the technology of high efficiency of water use, that shallow buried the pipe by using drip irrigation. This has the advantages of saving water and fertilizer, saving labor and land, saving electricity and cost, increasing production and efficiency. The demonstration base plays a leading role and has a broad prospect for popularization. Professor JI Junjie introduced the combine cultivation of soybean and corn, field management and harvesting equipment in Zhaoyuan cooperative. The whole process of mechanization can be realized through supporting agricultural machinery and techniques, so as to accelerate the promotion, improve the productivity and save the cost.

Ningjin grain crops green and efficient production demonstration base established in 2009, joint build by the people’s government of Ningjin County. The core demonstration area is 1500 mu. Through the combination of biological water-saving, engineering water-saving and agronomic water-saving, the integration of agronomy machinery, water saving, fertilizer saving and chemical saving, to achieve the goal of green development and high quality, and explore new technologies and models for water-saving and stable grain in groundwater over-exploited areas.
